Sea Battle
The classic paper game. Play friends and other players online, a friend on one phone, or the computer.
The game you played on squared paper at school: ten ships, a grid of letters and numbers, and shots called out until one fleet is gone.
- Online through Game Center: invite a friend or find an opponent. Take your turn when it suits you; Game Center tells the other player when it is their turn.
- Two players on one phone: place your fleets in turn and pass the phone after every miss. A cover hides both boards while the phone changes hands.
- The computer at three levels. It never sees your ships, and both boards are shown at the end.
- A daily challenge: one hidden fleet for everyone each day, with gold, silver and bronze.
- The real rules, a day and a night look, English and Russian. The computer, two players on one phone and the daily challenge work offline; online play needs the internet.

How do I play?
- Each side has 10 ships: one of 4 squares, two of 3, three of 2 and four of 1.
- Ships never touch each other, not even at the corners.
- Hit a ship and you shoot again. Miss, and it is your opponent's turn.
- The first to sink all 10 enemy ships wins.
Drag a ship to move it, tap it twice to turn it, or tap Shuffle for a new fleet. Then tap a square of the enemy's waters to fire.
How does online play work?
Online play uses Apple's Game Center, so sign in to Game Center on your iPhone. Tap "Online" on the home screen: invite a friend from Game Center, or find an opponent. Each shot goes to the other player, and Game Center tells them when it is their turn, so a match can take minutes or days. If no opponent turns up within half a minute, you can play the computer while the search goes on. If you don't take your turn within 48 hours, you lose the match.
Can the other player see my ships?
Not until the match ends. Until then your board stays on your phone: at the start the game sends only a sealed fingerprint of it, and when the match ends every hit and miss is checked against it, so nobody can move a ship or hide a hit.
How does playing a friend on one phone work?
Tap "Play a friend" on the home screen and type your friend's name. You place your ships, then the phone goes to your friend, who places theirs. A coin decides who fires first. After every miss the game covers both boards: pass the phone, and the other player taps "Show my board".
What is the daily challenge?
Every day there is one hidden fleet, the same for every player. Sink it in as few shots as you can: gold up to 45 shots, silver up to 55, bronze up to 65. The result also shows how many shots the computer needed for the same fleet. A new fleet arrives every day at midnight, your time.
Does the computer cheat?
No. The computer only knows where it has already fired, exactly like you. When a match ends, both boards are shown.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. It is included in your iPhone backup, and it is deleted if you delete the game.
Are there ads?
No. This version of the game shows no ads and has no purchases.
